We are two parents at Bishop William Ward School and members of the Friends of BWW committee.

Having seen the excellent work that the Friends of BWW does to enhance the learning and enrichment experience of the school's children and having volunteered at tuck shops, Christmas fayres and Easter Egg hunts we are taking our support of Bishop William Ward to the next level and are taking on the London Marathon in 2027.

It is an amazing opportunity to have a place in the London Marathon, and we definitely do not take it for granted. We want to make the most of this opportunity to make the school, the community and mostly our children proud by raising money to help support future plans & provide more equipment, experiences and enjoyment for our school.

We plan to hold lots of fundraisers in the run up to the big event, so please keep your eyes peeled for updates and support us where you can!

Both Caroline & Jenine love running - it has helped us immensely over the years and the benefits to our physical and mental wellbeing have been life-changing.

So, we will be lacing up our trainers in all-weathers running early mornings and weekends, basically whenever we can fit it in around families, work and life itself. It is a massive challenge and we can't do it without your support. Every penny donated will keep us going when our bodies and minds don't want to co-operate!

We would love to have parents or friends to the school join us for training runs, hear tips from experienced Marathon runners & hopefully encourage the children to get running too along the way. Raising money and promoting a healthy active lifestyle would be a fantastic legacy from this experience .

It takes a village - and we need all the support we can get!
