We are raising money on behalf of our friend Gillian Scotter. Recently Gillian got the news we all dread but has since been attending the Henderson Suite to receive her treatment. She’s taken the news and the battle that follows bravely and we are all massively proud for how her and her family have handled everything. So we wanted to do something for them.

We had initially hoped that Gill would be running this race with us as she did last year but as it is also her birthday she will instead be taking the day off and waiting for us at the finish line of the event.

For those of you that already know Gill, you don’t need anymore reasons to donate. Just click the button and help a good cause that Gill herself chose.

But for anyone who doesn’t yet know Gill and needs a reason. She is an amazing friend and a great colleague which is how many of us met her but the most important part is this; She’s a fantastic and one of a kind mother and wife to her two sons and husband. Their family are a credit to her as many of us already know.

Overall just simply an amazing person!

If anyone else wants to join the event and help fundraise then we will be happy to have you. For anyone that isn’t able to run but is free that day, please come along to the finish line and cheer us on.

We will also be able to take cash payments from people just message any of us and we will sort it out.

Finally and on a less serious note. If anyone wishes to make a “substantial” donation above and beyond the regular amount, then I would be willing to take requests on running the race in some form of fancy dress as an incentive.
