Story

In Memory of Ryan – Running and Football for SoBS

This autumn, we are coming together to raise money in memory of Ryan, a much-loved son, friend and family member who tragically lost his life to suicide.

On Sunday 27 September, Ryan’s mum, Louise Taylor, and James will be running the Ipswich Half Marathon together.

For Louise, this will be an incredibly personal and emotional challenge. They will be completing every mile side by side in Ryan’s memory, while raising awareness of the devastating impact suicide can have on the people left behind.

On Sunday 11 October, Ryan’s family and friends will come together again for a charity football match in his memory. The day will be an opportunity to remember Ryan, bring everyone together and raise further funds for Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide.

Finally, on Sunday 18 October, James will take on the Bury St Edmunds Half Marathon, completing a second half marathon just three weeks after Ipswich.

All money raised through the half marathons and the charity football match will be brought together into the same fundraising total and donated to Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS).

SoBS provides support to people who have been affected by the suicide of someone close to them. It is a cause that means a great deal to Ryan’s family and friends, and we hope the money raised will help other people and families facing similar heartbreak.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. Sharing the page and helping us raise awareness is also greatly appreciated.

Thank you for supporting Louise, James, Ryan’s family and friends, and for helping us honour Ryan’s memory.
