Story

Running for George and everyone affected by sarcomas.

This April we will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of George who very sadly passed away in July 2025. Together with George’s family and friends, we’re running to raise money for Sarcoma UK, to help drive vital research and increase awareness of this rare form of cancer.

Sport was one of George’s greatest passions. He loved nothing more than going for a run, challenging himself in races and encouraging everyone to join him.

George was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in July 2022. Throughout his treatment, he showed extraordinary courage, strength and determination. He was the most amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend. George’s positivity and love for life continues to inspire us every single day and we all miss him so much.

By taking on this challenge, we hope to raise awareness of sarcomas and support Sarcoma UK, which funds vital research and provides help for anyone affected by sarcomas. Sarcomas are rare and complex cancers that can develop in bone or soft tissue. They are uncommon and therefore they’re often hard to diagnose, meaning treatment can be delayed. Early diagnosis and continued research are crucial to improving outcomes and saving lives.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference. Thank you so much for your support.
