Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are Stuart, Derek and Chris ... three formerly fit dentists who occasionally -and unwisely -take on very long runs that seem like a good idea at the time.
After almost a year of inertia, we have cajoled each other into running the length of one of Scotland's Great Trails.
That's right - this time we are going to tackle The Rob Roy Way - an undulating and hostile Scottish landscape spanning 80 miles... assuming we don't get lost.
We will begin this trudge run at the starting point in Drymen on Saturday 22nd March ...finishing in Pitlochry on Sunday 23rd March.
Usually, we would agree that you should definitely NOT encourage us- but on this occasion, we would be extremely grateful, if you could ...
We are taking on this challenge in aid of the Canmore Trust.
A fantastic charity who work to prevent suicide. At a recent dental conference, I had the privilege of attending a very powerful talk by the Canmore trust. This talk outlined the deep and lasting trauma of suicide, about how anyone can be affected and about how the Canmore Trust are working at hard to prevent suicide by facilitating research programmes and lobbying Government for change in all sectors of society.
So please give whatever you can to the Canmore Trust..your generosity will help to motivate us !
