On 21st August 2025, Leigh left us way too soon, exactly one month after he turned 51.

Leigh was admitted to Torbay Hospital on 10th August with what was, at that time, an unknown illness. As the days went by, Leigh’s condition deteriorated rapidly but he never once stopped trying to make us laugh. After multiple CT and MRI scans, Leigh was diagnosed with a high grade glioma - an aggressive brain stem tumour - a diagnosis that no-one was expecting or prepared for. In the days that followed, we were told that with radiotherapy, Leigh could have a year left to live but less than 48 hours later, he was gone.

Nothing can bring Leigh back but in his memory, his family and friends will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity in the hope that others can be helped in the future.
