Event: Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023, on 14 May 2023
The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will take place on Sunday 14 May 2023 and has been inspired by former Leeds Rhinos captain, Kevin Sinfield OBE, and his fundraising challenges in recent years in support of his friend and team mate Rob Burrow.

Story

We are running the Leeds MND Marathon to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). We have all been affected by this disease and supported Roy Jones who was diagnosed with this disease in Feb 2020 and sadly passed away 17 months later.

Roy lived life to the full and was the life and soul of every party. He was still laughing and sipping the red wine right to the end. This marathon may be a tough challenge but it's nothing to the pain he suffered and this is the least we can do to raise money for this cruel disease and pay tribute to Roy's strength and determination he showed whilst fighting MND.

The runners are: Verity Jones, Tony Capstick, Philippa Capstick, Paul Holland, Anthony Benham, Janice Southway, Netty Rockley.
