Raising money for Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project

Story

Welcome to the Sage Dirty Reiver Team’s JustGiving Page! 🚴‍♂️

We’re back in the saddle for the Dirty Reiver Challenge on 25th April 2026, proudly supporting the Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project (CVYP) through our partnership with Sage Foundation.

CVYP is an incredible local charity that empowers young people aged 8 to 25—including those with disabilities—by offering outdoor adventures, accredited schemes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and a safe, welcoming space to grow, learn, and thrive.

This year, our goal is to raise £15,000 towards a larger £35,000 fundraising effort, which will enable us to further improve the activities area at the Chirdon Head Outdoor Centre in Kielder Forest—a remarkable space that provides life-changing experiences for young people within our community.

💪 The Challenge: Not for the Faint-Hearted

Last year, a few of our riders tackled the gruelling 200km Dirty Reiver route, riding solo for nearly 12 hours across unforgiving terrain. They described it as conquering 200km of rugged ground—the equivalent of cycling from the Sage office to Edinburgh City Centre, entirely off-road, while climbing Snowdon three and a half times.

With more riders aiming to take on the higher distance this year, they need your support more than ever. It’s the encouragement and spirit of our community that fuels every pedal stroke and keeps our team pushing forward.

🌲 Why It Matters

The Dirty Reiver isn’t just a ride—it’s a test of endurance, grit, and teamwork across some of the UK’s wildest landscapes. Training for this event demands dedication, courage, and the unwavering support of family, friends, and teammates.

💚 How You Can Help

Whether you’re cheering us on from the sidelines or making a donation, your support helps us pedal with purpose. Every pound raised goes directly toward creating opportunities, building confidence, and making unforgettable memories for young people who need it most.

Thank you for being part of something special.
