Our school community has recently lost two pillars of our school family: our incredible Head Teacher Michael Mullins and our beloved, long-term Head of Maths Chris McAvoy. Both were dedicated leaders who gave so much of their lives to inspiring, teaching, and nurturing our students and staff.

To honour their lasting legacies, a group of staff from Stretford Grammar School are coming together on Thursday 24th September to take part in the Media City 5K Relay. We are running with heavy hearts but a shared determination to turn our grief into something positive.

Because we are honouring two distinct legacies, we are supporting two separate charities that reflect their lives and values: War Child: Supporting vulnerable children caught in conflict zones, chosen in memory of Michael. British Heart Foundation: Funding life-saving cardiovascular research, chosen in memory Chris.
