Raising money for Southern Hospice Group

Worthing Half Marathon · 3 May 2026 ·

Compassionate care for the community. Southern Hospice Group is the charity for the three hospices our local communities know, love and support. Chestnut Tree House children's hospice near Arundel, Martlets in Hove and St Barnabas House in Worthing.

Story

Gary and I are running the Worthing Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd May and are proud to be supporting Chestnut Tree House in the process.

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire. Thanks to support from the local community, children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full. And, when the time comes, Chestnut Tree House is there for children and families to provide specialist end-of-life care and ongoing support.

The generosity of the local community makes this happen. It costs almost £6 million every year to provide hospice care for local children, with only 21% of this funded by the government. You can show your support by fundraising, volunteering, taking on a challenge, playing the Chestnut Tree House lottery, or leaving a gift in your Will.

If you’re able to donate any amount, we’d be grateful. Thank you for reading!
