I’m booked on to run the 34 mile gritstone grind ultramarathon on 3rd September. A run with over 1800m of elevation! I’ve only ever run a half marathon so this will be a huge challenge.

I procrasinitaed about creating a Just giving page finally setting one up as a way of highlighting the challenges young peope in care often face.

Around 10,000 young people leave care each year. Around a third of those young people will become homeless within two years of leaving care. I was once part of those statistics.

I am doing this run to support two fantastic charities that help to reduce these figures and improve outcomes for care leavers.

Please donate as these donations will spur me on. I will definitely need the encouragement as I have only ever completed a half marathon! They will be a great incentive for me to do it but your also giving to a great cause that is close to my heart. Every donation will have a huge impact on the lives of care leavers locally and nationally.
