💜 In memory of our Beautiful mum, Sandie

In April 2026, our family’s world was turned upside down when we lost my beautiful mum, Sandra (Sandie), to bowel cancer.

Mum was only 56 years old. She had so much more life to live, memories to make and time to spend with the people she loved. Her diagnosis came as a devastating shock, and just three weeks later, we were saying goodbye to her. 💔

Losing Mum so suddenly has left a huge hole in all of our lives. We have had to face so many firsts without her birthdays, celebrations, family moments and everyday things that we once took for granted.

Mum was a loving partner, mum and nana, and she meant the absolute world to us. We miss her every single day and will carry her with us in everything we do.

So, in her memory, we have decided to take on the challenge of walking 60 miles throughout October to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK.

I’m doing this for Mum, for our family, and for every person and family affected by bowel cancer. If raising awareness or helping fund research means that another family doesn't have to experience the heartbreak we have, then every single mile will be worth it.
