Story
As with most things, Covid ruined our plans to cycle to Paris in September. However, it felt a shame not to do anything at all so we are still going to “cycle to Paris” in terms of mileage by making the most of our local cycle routes. As we move further into Autumn and closer to winter it becomes more critical that we keep efforts up to raise money for brilliant charities such as FareShare.
FareShare fight hunger and food waste and every pound raised can help make four meals for the most vulnerable in our community.
So in September a group of us will be cycling 234 miles – some over one weekend using the same daily miles from our original itinerary and some over the month of September because let’s face it, the 4 days are going to be hard work without a few croissants at the end to work towards. At least we can have a well deserved pub garden stop at the end of a ride now!
As part of this, we will be taking part in the Great Weston Ride on Sunday 20 September which, will be the final day for those doing it on one weekend.
