On 4th April 2027, Tom and I will be taking on the Lincoln 10K in memory of our wonderful Dad, Glyn, to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice.

We lost our Dad on the 12th of December 2025 and St Barnabas became such a big part of our family’s journey during the final days of his life.

There really aren’t enough words to describe what their care meant to us. At a time when everything felt frightening and heartbreaking the kindness and compassion shown to Dad, and to all of us, gave us comfort when we needed it most. They helped make sure Dad was comfortable, cared for and surrounded by love and gave our family the space to simply be together.

St Barnabas has also supported our lovely Aunty Tracy, Dad’s sister, which makes the charity even more special to our family. We have seen first-hand the incredible difference their care and support can make, not just to those they care for but the families too.

Family was everything to Dad, and he loved us all being together. He also loved seeing us healthy, keeping active and looking after ourselves so we know he would be so proud to see his two children taking on a 10K together! Side by side, in his memory ❤️ we know Dad will be cheering us on every step of the way and that he’ll be right there with us as we run ❤️

We wanted to do something together to give a little something back, while honouring Dad and everything that mattered to him.

So despite Sarah never running more than 5K just one time (😬) we’re taking on the Lincoln 10K together! Brother and sister for our Dad ❤️
