Raising money for Sue Ryder

With fundraising events cancelled and no clear indication of when we can open our shops or how long it will take them to return to normal trading, Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice anticipate a funding gap of £1.5m for this financial year.

Story

Who?

commemorate one year since the passing of our dad, Steven Taylor, we shall be raising money for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

What?

We shall be climbing the vertical height of Mount Everest (8848m) whilst simultaneously running a distance greater than three marathons over three consecutive days. Distance and elevation gain will be recorded using Strava and Garmin.

Where?

Scammonden Dam Steps, West Yorkshire.

When?

October 29th - October 31st 2020.

Why?

Simply put, Sue Ryder Manorlands hospice provide incredible emotional support and specialist medical care to people who are dying and those closest to them. Our dad and his loving partner Steph received amazing support and therapies from Manorlands which supported their journey towards the end. Our dad would definitely appreciate the novelty to this physical challenge and we feel it is deserved of my target amount of £750.

During these unprecedented times, Sue Ryder have launched an emergency crisis appeal due to a large funding gap. Let's help ensure their survival so they may continue to provide amazing support. We are asking you to give whatever you can afford at this difficult time.

Thank You,

Ash and Mark.
