Story
After a near-fatal trauma accident in 2022, life changed for me significantly. Magpas Air Ambulance operated on me at the scene and saved my life, and I will be forever grateful. In 2025, I pushed 300 miles in my wheelchair, raised a significant amount of money for this charity, and hit the target I was aiming for.
In 2026, we go again, with the Peterborough Half Marathon on the 11th October, 2026, hoping to beat the 3hrs 30 min finish time, as this is a closed-road event with a maximum time. On this occasion, I will be pushing this with a few of my business colleagues to raise as much money as I can.
In the UK there are over one million disabled children under the age of 16. This is approximately one child in every twenty. Yet the majority of families Little Miracles work with report feeling like they are alone on their journey. Little Miracles exists to reduce this isolation and ensure that carers get the care they need to fully support their families.
Little Miracles supports families that have children (0-25) with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions, even before they receive a formal diagnosis. Their Childcare Teams, Family Support Workers and Counsellors provide inclusive and accessible activities, training, respite services, advice and safe-spaces for the whole family. This includes the children, their parents siblings, and carers.
Little Miracles are very proud of what they do but know there are thousands of families out there that they cannot yet reach. With your support we can help them be there for more families that need them.
