Story
Probably everyone reading this has suffered some loss of a family member or close friend to at least one of these terrible diseases, we've all suffered loss. In the last couple of years my wife lost her dear mum Win and we lost our beautiful sister-in-law Karen at a shockingly young age.
So this year we are all doing something to raise money for charity - from a 10K step challenge to abseiling down the Spinnaker tower and even a parachute jump - I am cycling.
This is going to be a tough challenge, I'll be starting north of Portsmouth and taking a meandering route giving acknowledgement to the loved ones we have lost to these two diseases: Win, Karen, Kelv, Phyllis and Rose, before heading over the Solent and cycling around the IOW; 136Km (that's 85 miles in old money), 1400+m of climbs, Komoot estimates over 6.5 hrs in the saddle, but its nothing if it contributes to the curing of these two terrible diseases.
Times are hard, but dig deep and lets help bring a cure a step closer.
Unfortunately JustGiving can't automatically split donations between charities, so you can either donate to the one that means the most or (my preference, but a few extra clicks) split your donation manually between the two.
