Story

The Magpies 150 Challenge will raise funding for 15 local charities. All provide vital services and activities for the benefit of people living in Maidenhead, Windsor and the surrounding areas and are in desperate need of additional funding support. All funding raised will be split equally between the 15 charities.

Working and volunteering at Citizens Advice for many years I know how important this fundraising challenge is and how many individuals rely on these 15 charities. I am doing this challenge in memory of Mum, Joan who died in March after a long fight with dementia. She was so lucky to have my Dad, Brian, who completely devoted himself to looking after her -with help from a team of carers. Not everyone has a partner who can do that or the funds to pay for care at home. But they can turn to Citizens Advice and other local charities for help. So in memory of Mum my husband, Simon and I are selling stuff that my Dad no longer needs and given us so we can raise funds for these vital charities.
