Story
We are all planning our own individual running or walking routes for the (virtual) Serotonin Challenge ‘21 at 10am on 28th February (current local restrictions permitting)!
Some of us are in Wales, some in England and one member will be doing the challenge in Barcelona! Everyone’s goals varies, with some of us training to run or walk half marathons (some for the first time), and some a couple of miles, depending on what is realistic and achievable for each individual! Some of us have never run before and aiming to do their first 5km! The aim has been (as the title suggests) to focus on wellbeing, motivating each other and getting that serotonin flowing!
We’re raising money for BAWSO in Cardiff who provide support and refuge for BAME women, men and children across Wales experiecing domestic abuse. Their services include support for those those been who have victims of FGM, human trafficking and honour based violence. You can find out more about the invaluable work carried out by BAWSO at https://bawso.org.uk/
We’re also raising money for the Alzheimers Society. The Alzheimers Society carry out essential research and provide invaluable services and support for individuals living with Dementia and their family members across the UK. You can find out more about their very important work online at https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/
If you have a spare pound or two, any donations would be gratefully received! We know money is tight for many at the moment so no problems if you don’t feel able to at this time.
If you sponsor Keith you are donating to the Alzheimers Society and if you sponsor me (Mel), you are donating to Bawso. We are representing all participants 😁
Thanks and wish us luck!
Team Serotonin ❤️
