Story
SGS Accountants are supporting the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust to raise money and support the amazing work they do supporting the Oliver Fisher Ward at Medway Hospital.
Raising £1,000 could purchase a Neopuff machine for the ward. This is apparatus that provides life-saving pressurised breathing support to a baby on the unit.
The cost per baby per day in the ward is between £505 and £1100. The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust bridges the gap between NHS public funding and private health care. They have over 1300 babies passing through the doors of The Oliver Fisher Neonatal Unit each year.
In 2014, my son Maxwell was born at 35.6 weeks and was supported by The Oliver Ward at Medway Hospital on the High Dependency Ward giving him the extra support he needed in his first few hours. Maxwell's stay was short, lasting just over 12 hours, but still had such a positive impact on giving him the support he needed most.
This Charity is close to heart of SGS Accountants, and we are proud to have a team of runners for this event, so any donation you can share will go such a long way to supporting this amazing charity.
