SWRUFC take on the 10k!!!
As a club, Sheffield University Women's Rugby Union club are proud to represent Cavendish Cancer Care, as many of our members tackle the Sheffield 10k on September 29th 2024.
As a club, we recognise the imperative work that the fabulous independent Sheffield based charity, Cavendish Cancer Care, do to improve the quality of life for those living with cancer and their loved ones.
It is an absolute privilege to be fundraising for such a wonderful cause but we would please appreciate as much support as possible to help us fundraise as much as we can!
As part of their services, Cavendish offer free-of-charge packages of therapy and support, tailored to each individual's specific needs. But Cavendish only receive enough statutory funding to keep their doors open for about two weeks each year, meaning they rely on the generosity of the public to keep running. Put simply - they need your help.
Every £28 raised pays for an hour of therapy for one Cavendish client affected by cancer.
So, please help us reach our fundraising goal as our girls lace up their running shoes and take to Sheffield's hills in honour of the brilliant services that Cavendish provide!
