Shimna Runners are a group of staff and students who have come together to run the Belfast marathon team relay event. We're sure everyone has their own individual reasons for doing so, but most importantly, it is to raise some well-needed funds for a brilliant local charity. "Cancer treatment is frightening, challenging, and isolating and can devastate families emotionally, physically, and financially." Daisy Lodge is a great facility in Newcastle which helps families and children who are suffering from cancer, aiming to empower, connect and strengthen them, so they feel equipped to deal with whatever cancer throws at them.
