Story
Currently over 118,000 young people in the UK are facing homelessness. Not just this is startling, but also the following facts:
1. 4 in 5 people experiencing homelessness live with a mental health problem.
2. People sleeping rough are 17 times more likely to experience abuse than the general public.
3. Nearly 1 in 4 women sleeping rough have been sexually assaulted.
4. The average age of death for someone who is homeless is just: 45 for men and 43 for women
5. Someone sleeping rough is 9 times more likely to die by suicide than someone in the general population.
Because of this, we (Stefan, Yvonne and Susan), are going to bear the cold for one night to raise money for Centrepoint, a UK-wide charity that supports 16-25 year olds by providing safe housing and whose goal is to eradicate youth homelessness entirely.
By donating to my page, you can be part of the solution. Join the collective effort to ensure that every young person has a safe place to call home.
Thank you.
