Armed with sleeping bags, serious thermal underwear and sleep mats, Scarlett, Daisy and Karin are spending the night at at St Mary’s Church, Devizes ‘under the stars’ (whatever the weather) to raise vital funds for Opendoors helping people in the Devizes Community Area to find solutions to homelessness.

Opendoors depends entirely on donations and the sleep out is a key fund raising event in the calendar. In 2019, it raised £1,360 representing 5% of Opendoors total funding for the year. It's the only homeless shelter offering a hot meal, foodbank, showering, laundry, computer and phone services and other help in the area within a 20 mile radius - the next nearest is Swindon. With only poor and expensive transport options available, its a vital resource for the local community ie if your only available option is walking, 20 miles is a world away.

The event is aiming to raise 10% of its overall running costs this year (£2,600) and with your help can make that happen.
