Smash It Challenge 2024

Raising money for Scottish Mountaineering Trust
In memory of Marty Stephens

The Scottish Mountaineering Trust is a charity (founded in 1962) which exists to promote the health, education and leisure of the public in all aspects of the Scottish hills and mountains. It gives grants and loans to a wide range of organisations, from bodies which aim to improve access to mountaineering for socially disadvantage groups to established, specialist climbing clubs. The common theme in all the activities which the Trust subsidises is that they must benefit the mountaineering public in one way or another.

Story

Yes, you guessed it… New Year, New Smash It Challenge!!

We started the Smash it Challenge last year to remember our much-loved colleague Marty Stephens. The challenge was a tremendous success, and we raised a remarkable amount of money for the Scottish Mountaineering Trust. Over 80 participants joined us on the day, and it was incredible to see so many people celebrate Marty’s life and embody his determination and thirst for a challenge.

This year we are raising the stakes! We are planning to conquer the Fairfield Horseshoe in the Lake District on the Friday 24th May 2024.

We would really appreciate any support!
