Solent Swim 2020

Raising money for Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs. Since 2007, we have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. We also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

Andy, Jen, Rupert and Lawrence are swimming the Solent on 1st August 2020 in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. Around 5km in length, this open water swim will start from Gosport and head out into the Solent, crossing a busy shipping lane, and finally finishing at Ryde on the Isle of Wight. The swim team will be supported by a team of kayakers and the crew of a support vessel who have kindly given up their time to support them in their effort.

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity exists to provide support for RN and RM service personnel and their families throughout their service careers and beyond. Here are just a few ways the RNRMC have supported service personnel in the past year:
