Event: Great Hospital Hike 2023, on 16 September 2023
On Saturday, 16 September 2023, join #TeamKings and experience the incredible atmosphere, camaraderie and sense of community as we walk from Kings College Hospital in Denmark Hill to the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.

Story

On Saturday, 16 September, we will be taking on the Great Hospital Hike to fundraise for the Toni & Guy ward at King’s College Hospital. This ward specialises in caring for children with breathing (respiratory), blood (haematological) and cancerous (oncological) conditions.

It’s a cause that is close to our hearts, as staff at the Toni & Guy ward have provided outstanding care to a young lady called Freya, who is part of our Primary School Community. Freya is an outpatient and receives weekly chemotherapy for a brain tumour.

With your help, King’s College Hospital Charity can help Toni & Guy ward provide the very best care to children like Freya and their families.

Funding could transform clinical hospital environments into welcoming and fun multi-purpose play spaces for children. It could create soothing spaces that provide a home away from home for families and carers, or even provide free accommodation for parents who don’t live locally.

Every contribution, however big or small, will make a huge difference to the lives of children and their families on the Toni & Guy ward for years to come.

Please donate what you can to support this important cause.
