Story
On Sunday 26th April 2026, we'll be lacing up our trainers to take on the London Marathon - one of the world’s most iconic races.
We're running to raise money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK) a cause that’s close to our hearts at Span Group.
Why Muscular Dystrophy UK?
Muscular Dystrophy UK supports more than 110,000 people in the UK living with muscle-wasting conditions. One of the most devastating forms is Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) - a progressive and life-limiting condition that usually appears in early childhood.
DMD causes relentless muscle degeneration, gradually robbing children mostly boys - of their ability to walk, move independently, and eventually, even to breathe without assistance. There is currently no cure. But there is hope - in research, in treatments, and in the unwavering support MDUK provides to families navigating this incredibly tough journey.
Every pound you donate helps fund life-changing research, specialist care, and vital support services for those affected. It helps MDUK continue to fight for a future where no child or family has to face this alone.
Join Us on This Journey
Training for a sub-3:30 marathon isn’t easy—but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by children and adults living with muscular dystrophy. Your support will keep us going on long winter training runs, on sore legs, and on race day when the finish line feels far away.
Together, we can go the distance for the families who face muscular dystrophy every day, and for the breakthroughs still to come.
Please donate today!
Thank you so much for your support 💙
