Story
We are fundraising to support Nottingham City Hospital in buying a photobiomodulation (PBM) machine.
Amber Green (Stuart's Wife), was on the early trial for PBM therapy during her treatment for cancer. PBM therapy is used at Nottingham City Hospital to support head and neck cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy, helping reduce side effects such as swelling, ulcers and mucositis.
The machine gave Amber hope that her side effects would be reduced and allowed her to take some control during her treatment. She was delighted to be a part of the trial programme and was a big advocate of the benefits of this treatment.
Since that initial trial, the hospital has been able to fund one machine to help patients on a regular basis however a second machine would enable the hospital to do so much more, making a difference to even more patients.
As a team we taking part in multiple events including a couple of Tough Mudders and a ridiculous challenge Chris McClymont has in mind. This is to raise as much as possible to enable the hospital to buy a PBM machine and support patients with cancer from across the region. Funds raised here will be ringfenced by the charity specifically for this purpose - your donation will directly help cancer patients at Nottingham City Hospital.
Thank you so much for your support,
Stuart & Team
