Story

We are 4 sisters who have always been close so we were devastated when Jenny, the youngest, was unexpectedly diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2017. After extensive treatment - radiotherapy; chemotherapy; surgery; the works - Jenny was cancer free and cured! This was only possible due to research in cancer and progress in treatment. Things were very different 40 years ago, our grandfather died of bowel cancer very soon after diagnosis so we appreciate the importance of research and how crucial funding is.

Our team of 15 includes partners, children and friends most of which have been directly or indirectly affected by cancer. Our team members have lost family members and also includes survivors and friends and family of survivors.

At school we were known as the Spuds (from our maiden name) and, throughout the years we have supported each other on many occasions. Our family motto has always been "If you take on one of us then you take on all of us" - this includes our extended family and friends.

So this is why we are now taking on the London Winter run 2020 for Cancer Research UK, please help us reach our target.
