Parishioners from St Felix Catholic Church in Felixstowe are walking for water this Lent. 1 in 3 people in the world don't have access to a clean safe water supply- something we all take for granted. This Lenten challenge will focus on people like Abdella, a 23 year old man who faces the daily grind of spending 10 hours in Afar, Ethiopia walking for water through mountainous conditions, in the hottest place on earth. £750 will pay for the work involved in installing solar panels, pumps, irrigation channels for a village water supply for clean safe water. Abdella and others like him could then concentrate on living, building a business and raising a family- both of which he dreams about.
