Raising money for Support Staffordshire

Support Staffordshire empowers communities to be the best they can be. We support communities, individuals and organisations to work in collaboration to bring about change in their community by actively encouraging social action.

Story

Team members from Support Staffordshire are planning a challenging distance walk of the Staffordshire Way this summer 2022, to raise awareness of our work with the voluntary sector across the whole of Staffordshire and to raise funds to enable Support Staffordshire to continue supporting more than 1200 charities.

The Staffordshire Way is a 92 mile public footpath that spans the county from north to south. It takes in parts of Newcastle-under-Lyme, the Staffordshire Moorlands, East Staffordshire, Cannock Chase, Stafford and South Staffordshire. It starts near Mow Cop on the Staffordshire/Cheshire border and ends at Kinver in South Staffordshire.

The path will be walked in 6 days :

7th May Mow Cop to Leek 14.5 miles

8th May Leek to Alton 14.5 miles

21st May Alton to Abbots Bromley 15 miles

22nd May Abbots Bromley to Penkridge 17 miles

25th June Penkridge to Codsall 16 miles

26th June Codsall to Kinver Edge 15 miles
