On 27th April 2025 we’re running the London Marathon. We’ve always wanted to complete this amazing event. An added bonus is 1 of us reaches 50 this year (you can decide which 1!), so this is a tick off the bucket list. We also want to make a difference to peoples lives by raising as much money as possible.

We will be running for Hospice UK. Tracys mother in law Joan had end of life care at Barnsley Hospice and they made the very difficult time as peaceful as possible. Alongside this Tracy’s mum Ann was also due to need support from hospice UK but unfortunately this was not possible.

With Rebecca working at Barnsley Hospital she sees daily the importance and support that hospice care can bring to families.

Hospices are needed by so many people and therefore the fundraising is vitally important to allow them to support as many families as possible. Currently hospices are underfunded and under immense pressure.

Hospice care eases the pain of death and dying, letting people focus on living, right until the end. Too many miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, now and forever.

We really appreciate any amount of money you can spare to support us and this worthwhile cause. Believe us, it will be at the front of our minds when things get tough in the training and the actual marathon.
