Story
This summer, it’s more important than ever to stand up for the rights of refugee children. That’s why we’re launching our fundraising campaign Stand Together - Play Has No Borders.
The best bit is, thanks to the amazing OPAL, every donation will be DOUBLED. That means for each £1 donated, Project Play gets £2! Turning £20,000 into £40,000 to fund the vital service.
Project Play is a grassroots NGO working in Calais and Dunkirk, northern France. It is a mobile service helping displaced children to play, learn and thrive. The children they work with, usually live in informal camps or safe houses, don’t have access to school or formal play. Our team brings silliness, smiles and joy through games, art, songs, sport and more whilst advocating for change.
As a grassroots NGO your money goes directly towards keeping our service running. This means keeping us providing our daily play sessions but also allows us to keep advocating and supporting families with our casework.
This is more than a fundraiser - it is about standing in solidarity, raising awareness about life on the border, and bringing tangible improvements to the lives of children on the move. As politics becomes more polarised, and funding more challenging, we stand together. We know that play has no borders.
