Story
Thames Water Raft Race
Our team will be paddling their hearts out at the Thames Water Raft Race this summer to raise funds for the Madagascar WaterAid Appeal.
Why WaterAid
Almost half of the people in Madagascar don't have access to clean water close to home, and nine in ten people don’t have a decent toilet of their own. Without these essential services, it is difficult for people to prioritise their hygiene, which increases their risk of waterborne and diarrhoeal diseases.
Through the Thames Raft Race, we are supporting WaterAid to bring clean water and sanitation to the hardest-to-reach communities in Madagascar.
About the Raft Race
Great Scott! This year’s race theme is ‘Rafting Back to the Future’, so expect an 80s vibe, maybe a flux capacitor too, but we can’t promise we will hit 88 miles per hour!
Our team will build their own raft and then get paddling for the chance to be crowned Thames Raft Race Champions. Lots of laughs and soakings are guaranteed!
How You Can Make a Difference
The Raft Race is lots of fun but has a serious purpose. We’d love it if you could consider supporting our team by donating to our fundraising page. Your donation will go directly to WaterAid's life-changing projects in Madagascar. Even the smallest contribution can make a big difference.
