Steps & Sketches will be undertaking two projects to help raise money for shelters cause, a brief overview of these can be found below along with Shelter's story.

- Step Up for Shelter

Join us for an inspiring journey through London's iconic landmarks as we take on the Step Up for Shelter challenge. Each step represents one pound of the incredible £50,000 Veolia has raised in partnership with Shelter, a charity dedicated to helping people struggling with bad housing and homelessness. As we walk past the capital's most famous sights, we'll be reminded that everyone deserves a place to call home.

- The Bigger Picture

At our Kingswood office, we're inviting our colleagues to pick up a paintbrush and express what sustainability means to them on individual canvases. As each unique canvas is completed and placed alongside the others, they'll unite to form the Veolia logo. This project celebrates the strength of community, the power of togetherness, and our shared responsibility to protect the planet we all call home.

Shelter's Story:

A safe home is our foundation, it’s where we thrive. Yet every day, people across the UK and Ireland are facing the challenges of the housing emergency.

A household becomes homeless every 3 minutes in the England and 175,990 children are homeless. In the Republic of Ireland, 14,000 people currently rely on emergency accommodation. These aren't just numbers – the housing crisis affects the communities we serve daily.

That’s why Shelter and Veolia are working together, to ensure that everyone has the foundation of home.

Shelter's mission is to ensure everyone has a safe, secure and affordable place to call home. They offer direct support to those facing housing issues, campaign tirelessly for housing justice and conduct crucial research to address the UK's housing emergency.

Shelter & Veolia are working together to raise vital funds and awareness to help end the housing emergency. Together, we will transform tomorrow for people facing homelessness and unfit housing across the UK.
