Story
The South Tyneside Admiral Nurse team are running the Great North Run to help raise awareness and support for Dementia UK. We are a small team of nurses but together we hope to make a big difference.
Running the race this year will be Bridie and Lauren.
We work closely with people with dementia and their carers, providing practical and emotional support along with specialist advice and guidance. We help people with dementia stay independent for longer and support the people caring for them, so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. Overall, Admiral Nurses have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
