Raising money for Friends of ANCHOR
In memory of Gilda ( Emma's mum) and Margaret (Ellie's granny)

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2026 · 7 June 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

We support people in the north of Scotland who are affected by cancer or a blood disorder. Working hand-in-glove with the NHS, we take care of the ‘big little things’, and we fund cutting-edge equipment and research. Every penny makes an impact as our operating costs are covered by Balmoral Group.

Story

Hi everyone,

The 2 E’s – Emma and Ellie – are taking part in this year’s Kiltwalk to raise funds for The Friends of the Anchor.

We are both walking in memory of two very special people, Gilda and Margaret, who bravely battled cancer and received incredible support from The Anchor Unit. This cause is extremely close to our hearts, and we want to give something back in their honour.

The Friends of the Anchor do amazing work supporting patients and their families during incredibly difficult times. From providing comfort and care to helping ease the emotional and practical challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, their support makes a real difference not just to individuals, but to entire families.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to us and will help continue the vital work they do. Thank you for your kindness, support, and for helping us make a difference in memory of Gilda and Margaret. ❤️
