Li Tim-Oi Foundation
Sue was a long time supporter of the Li Tim-Oi Foundation. Reverend Dr Florence Li Tim-Oi was the first woman ordained priest in the Anglican Communion in China on 25th January 1944 (50 years later, Sue was ordained priest at the first ordination of women to the priesthood in Bradford Diocese on 8th May 1994). The Li Tim-Oi Foundation provides educational grants to women throughout the Anglican Communion, but especially in the poorest communities, to support them to follow God's calling to training in ordained and lay ministries, and other leadership roles in their churches and communities.
Myeloma UK
Sue was diagnosed with myeloma in 2018. Other than her initial chemotherapy, none of her later treatments were available at the time of her diagnosis. Myeloma UK funds research into the most effective ways to diagnose and treat myeloma, which is not yet curable. It also provides detailed information and support for those living with myeloma. Treating Sue's myeloma gave her more time with family and friends, which is thanks in part to the work of Myeloma UK.
