Raising money for Support Dogs Ltd

Could YOU take the plunge for Support Dogs? Our annual abseil returns with a brand new location for 2026 - a cave abseil!

Story

Eight of us (ranging from 10 to 76 years old!) are raising funds for Support Dogs UK, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children and adults affected by autism, epilepsy and physical disabilities, and rely entirely on voluntary donations.

Three generations of the Mead family, along with friends Patrick, Katie, Mike and Ian are taking part in a sponsored abseil and caving expedition in Castleton on the 20th September - which includes a dramatic 33ft abseil down a waterfall inside the cave!

We are doing this as John and Vic's son Rowan (7 years old) is currently on Support Dog UK's waiting list for an autism assistance dog which will be trained up specifically to meet his needs.

This has the potential to benefit Rowan hugely in a number of ways: providing companionship, giving him a nurturing role, ensuring his safety, supporting emotional regulation and allowing him to access places and environments that are currently highly challenging for him and his family to access due to his high anxiety levels and sensory differences.

By donating to this cause you will be helping to support not only Rowan but also the many other people who benefit from the brilliant work that Support Dogs UK do.

Thank you in advance for any donations! 🦮🙏😊
