Story
Why would any sane person leap from a perfectly serviceable aircraft while it is aloft? Even with a parachute and instructor attached.
Well, when my friend Marlie and I heard about the extraordinary work carried out by the people who work at The Royal Marsden Hospital, and learned about the care, compassion and the hope they give others, we thought we’re not that sane, so that’s exactly what we’ll do!
This hospital is part of our unique National Health Service and it deserves all of our support, from 12,000 feet as well as at ground level. We sometimes forget just how fortunate we are to have free healthcare at the point of delivery which is why, on the 27th of June, my friend Marlie and I will step from said serviceable aircraft into the fresh air over Salisbury Plain and float back to earth as gently as any feather.
Every pound we raise will go directly to support world-class cancer treatment and research delivered every day by the amazing people who work in this brilliant place.
There’s nowhere quite like it anywhere else so, whether the Marsden has touched your life or not, and you want to support this miraculous cause, please sponsor us here.
Thank you so much.
