Story
A group of us are swimming 100km during May and June to raise funds for our local foodbank in Kentish Town. That’s 3,333 lengths of a standard sized pool, or 1,666 lengths of out beloved 60m lido.
Thank you for your support! Every Pound Makes a Difference
Every week, Kentish Town Foodbank supports around 110 people from the local community in Camden and Kentish Town—providing them with essential food parcels, care, and dignity during some of the toughest moments in their lives.
Food insecurity is growing. Many families are being forced to choose between heating and eating, skipping meals so their children can eat, or going without entirely. The Foodbank is a lifeline for those hit hardest by the cost-of-living crisis—single parents, the elderly, disabled individuals, and working families who simply can’t make ends meet.
Why We’re Fundraising
Kentish Town Foodbank is run by dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to sort donations, prepare food parcels, and support those in need. But they can't do it alone.
Donations have dropped in recent months, yet the demand continues to rise. We’re launching this fundraiser to help the foodbank:
- Restock shelves with urgently needed items (tinned foods, rice, pasta, toiletries)
- Cover operational costs so they can keep their doors open to everyone in need
Every donation, big or small, helps us provide support to a neighbour in need.
Just £10 can help provide a basic food parcel for someone who might otherwise go hungry.
Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes without the essentials.
Thank you so much for your support
