Story
In a year that has been mainly doom and gloom, the System Optimisation team wanted to bring some positivity by taking on the challenge of walking from the source of the River Thames to our head office in Reading. The walk will be split into two, with team one tackling the source of the River Thames to Oxford, where team two will take over and drive it home to Clear Water Court. Each team will take on two gruelling days of walking, totalling just over 46 miles per team and around 93 miles combined. We are raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, further information can be found below, and we would greatly appreciate any donations.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
