Food bank usage has skyrocketed in the last ten years, with the Trussell group reporting 1.9 million people receiving 3 day emergency food packages in 2019-20 alone. (up from 60,000 in 2010-11) With the covid-19 pandemic raging on it is predicted the unemployment rate will hit 7.5% by mid 2021 in the UK. (2.6 million people) The hospitality industry is one of the hardest hit sectors in terms of job loss from the pandemic, losing some 300,000 jobs since February 2020.

S6 food bank provides support for people in and around Sheffield, covering a very large area. Without donations and volunteer support they would not be able to operate, so every penny donated helps.

We will be live streaming for 24 hours starting on the 2nd January 2021 and ending on the 3rd January 2021, with a goal of raising £250 for a charity which we feel benefits our local community massively. Additionally we'll be running an accumulative 100km each over the course of January 2021 and tracking our progress.
