Raising money for Catherine McEwan Foundation

Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 · 25 April 2026 to 26 April 2026 ·

The Catherine McEwan Foundation raises vital funds to support better treatment, better care and a better life for those people living with Crohn’s and colitis in Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We’re a team of 24 brave (and slightly nervous) humans taking on the Kiltwalk Mighty Stride to raise money for The Catherine McEwan Foundation, supporting people living with Crohn’s & Colitis and funding research to help find a cure.

Our team consists of Julie McEwan, Jacki McMillian, Joanne McFadden, Lynda Kilkie, Michael Kilkie, Jaqueline Hamill, Graeme Oswald, Karen Changizi, Pamela Boyle, Tracy Steele, Laureen Donald, Carrie-Anne McDonald, Julie Flynn, Jane McGilvary,

Between us we’ve got every fitness level going — from “does Parkrun” to “gets out of breath putting trainers on.” There will be dodgy knees, tight hips, blister plasters, emergency snacks, maybe a wee shot along the way and a lot of chat about why we signed up for this… but we’re in it together!

Jokes aside, we’re walking for an incredible cause that’s very close to our hearts. Crohn’s & Colitis are lifelong, often invisible conditions that affect thousands of people and families. The Catherine McEwan Foundation provides support, community and hope, while also funding vital research to help find better treatments — and one day, a cure.

So if you can sponsor us, please do. Every donation will help keep us moving when our legs are questioning our life choices somewhere around mile 18.

Thank you for your support — we promise to earn every penny (and every blister). 💜
