Each year 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem and so it goes without saying that charities like Mind are more important than ever. It has affected many people we know and who are close to us and that is what keeps us both running and motivated during training. This will be my second half marathon that I run for Mind, who do incredible work to help people with mental health problems get the support they need.

The original plan was to run the Cardiff half marathon in February. Unfortunately I broke my big toe a couple of weeks before the race playing football so that slightly delayed things. But I am back in action and now Helena and I will be running the Royal Parks Half together in October.
