Story
The Arbor Day Foundation was established in 1972, on the 100th anniversary of the very first Arbor Day celebration. This year, we celebrate both the 150th anniversary of "the tree planter's holiday" and the 50th anniversary of the Foundation, created with a mission to "inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees."
