In May 2023, Peter received the life changing diagnosis of stage 3 bowel cancer. Thanks to successful surgery and four rounds of preventative chemotherapy, he began the slow journey toward recovery. Over the past three years, he has undergone regular six-monthly check-ups involving CT scans and blood tests. We are incredibly grateful to share that after his latest check-up, he has been given the final all-clear and discharged from further monitoring.

The care and support he received throughout this challenging time were nothing short of excellent. To try to give a little back and raise awareness for others facing similar battles, we are proudly participating in the 21 mile Edinburgh Kiltwalk on 13 September 2026. We are walking as Team LEAP (Lesley, Ewan, Anne, Peter)to support Bowel Cancer UK, a charity dedicated to improving outcomes for those affected by this disease.

We have set an ambitious fundraising target of £1,000 to help fund vital research and patient support services. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in the fight against bowel cancer. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story would also be deeply appreciated.
