Tackle one of North Somersets greatest physical challenges for Weston Hospicecare; The Mendip Challenge is BACK! On Sunday 12 June 2022, hundreds of you will hit the Mendip Hills spread over four distanced walks.

Story

A group of friends who like walking and talking and have decided to raise some money for a really important cause whilst doing what we enjoy!

It is shocking to read how much funding this charity has to raise just to keep going, they play such a vital role in supporting people throughout the hardest of times and we want to do anything we can to support them. Having completed the 20 mile challenge a couple of years ago (and finding it pretty hard going) it seemed like a good idea to push harder and go for the 30! This is going to be really tough but it feels good to be able to help, even in a small way.

From Weston Hospicecare "Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community".
