Raising money for Little Miracles

Pistons to Places 2026
Campaign by Little Miracles (RCN 1160178)
Rally Challenge from St Ives Cambs to Pisa. 2300 Miles in a £1k car! All proceeds go to Little Miracles charity.

Story

We are Team-67 and we are taking on the Pistons to Places Challenge of Driving from St Ives, Cambridgeshire to Pisa, Italy and back, via some very interesting roads. That is 2,500 miles in three days, in a car that costs less than £1000.

Darrell Preston and Mark Coverdale are no strangers to epic journeys. When the Ukraine war started they climbed into their vans and drove to deliver emergency relief for the mothers and children crossing the border into Poland. They are both Freemasons and are determined fundraisers.

Their reason to embark on this foolish enterprise is to raise money and awareness of the charity Little Miracles. Little Miracles supports children with additional needs, disabilities, and life-limiting conditions, along with their families. They provide vital services, support networks, activities, and experiences that bring joy, relief, and community to families who need it most.

We took the name Team-67 from suggestions from our grandchildren especially as this is a fun adventure, that makes no sense and is to benefit kids.

Every donation — big or small — will help fund essential support and create special moments for children facing daily challenges. That’s what this journey is really about.

Whatever you are disposed to give please remember that if you are a UK taxpayer opting for Gift Aid makes a huge difference increasing the amount little miracles gets by 25%. So your £50 donation turns into £62.50.

Fletcher Thompson will be covering all the travel costs , so every penny raised will go to the charity
